Calrec’s modular, expandable, IP-based radio system is now available with three DSP upgrade pack options, providing an instant boost in capacity and enabling a variety of expansion options across multiple studios.

The R120 expansion pack is Calrec’s biggest expansion pack available on Type R and provides the most flexibility for your growing station's needs. The R120 expansion pack provides 120 fully featured channels. With software release v2.0, the R120 expansion pack also provides the opportunity to operate up to three mix environments from one Type R core. Stations have the option to run a single 120ch Type R mixer, two distinct mix environments (60ch + 60ch, or 80ch + 40ch) or three mix environments (40ch + 40ch + 40ch, or 60ch + 30ch +30ch), all on private networks with no facility sharing.

Calrec’s DSP upgrade packs can be added, changed or adapted at any time which is convenient to the user.
