Calrec’s modular, expandable, IP-based radio system is now available with three DSP upgrade pack options, providing an instant boost in capacity and enabling a variety of expansion options across multiple studios.

The R80 expansion pack boosts Type R to 80 DSP paths. With software release v2.0, the R80 expansion pack also provides the opportunity to run up to three distinct mix environments from one Type R core. Stations have the option to run a single 80ch Type R mixer, two distinct 40ch mixers, or three distinct Type R mix environments (40ch + 20ch + 20ch), all on private networks with no facility sharing.

Calrec’s DSP upgrade packs can be added, changed or adapted at any time which is convenient to the user.
