Calrec’s modular, expandable, IP-based radio system is now available with three DSP upgrade pack options, providing an instant boost in capacity and enabling a variety of expansion options across multiple studios.

The R40 expansion pack provides Type R with 40 DSP paths. With software release v2.0, the R40 updrade also provides the opportunity to run two distinct mix environments from one Type R core. Stations have the option to run a single 40ch Type R mixer or two distinct 20ch mixers on private networks with no facility sharing.

Calrec’s DSP upgrade packs can be added, changed or adapted at any time which is convenient to the user.
